Avocado Africa 2027 takes place 15 – 18 June 2027 at the Sarit Expo Centre. Practical guidance below; the secretariat is available for anything not covered.

Getting there

  • Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) — approx. 45 minutes
  • Wilson Airport for regional connections
  • Registered taxi and ride-hailing available at the venue
  • Shuttle service from partner hotels during event days

Visas

  • Most visitors require an electronic travel authorisation for Kenya
  • Apply well ahead of travel through the official Kenyan portal
  • The secretariat issues invitation letters to registered delegates on request
  • East African Community citizens may enter without a visa

  • Preferential delegate rates released with registration confirmation
  • Options across business, mid-range and budget categories
  • Book early — May is a busy conference season in Nairobi

  • Badge collection opens on day one from 08:00

Health & practicalities

  • Yellow fever certificate may be required depending on your route
  • Local currency is the Kenyan Shilling; cards widely accepted
  • Nairobi sits at altitude — May is cool and can be wet
  • Travel insurance is recommended for all delegates
