About

The permanent digital headquarters of Africa's avocado industry.

Convened by the Avocado Society of Kenya in collaboration with regional and international organisations across the avocado value chain.

Our mandate

From an annual congress to a year-round ecosystem.

Avocado Africa began as the International Africa Avocado Congress and Exhibition. It has grown into a platform the industry uses every week of the year.

Africa now supplies a rapidly growing share of the world's avocados. That growth has created a need the sector did not previously have: a single, credible place where growers, exporters, buyers, regulators, financiers and researchers can find each other and find reliable information.

This platform is that place. The International Africa Avocado Congress & Exhibition remains its flagship gathering, held at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, Kenya — but the exhibition is one component of a wider ecosystem that also includes the Industry Knowledge Centre, the Resource Library, the News Centre and the Media Centre.

Everything published here is maintained by the Avocado Africa secretariat, and is designed to be updated continuously rather than rebuilt each year.
